This week our classroom was transformed into
an underwater adventure.
There were so many things to discover and explore this week.
"Cool! A real live dead starfish." I wish I had time to write down everything they say.
We read lots of books about ocean life. One of our favorites was
"Rainbow Fish". Then we made our own rainbow fish
with a sparkle scale.
We also had a school of "CD" fish swim through.
In our book we practiced reading our number words and drawing
different sea creatures.
Snack time was awesome. Rachel is enjoying an ocean full of fish.
Well...a cup of blue jello and gummy fish but in 5K
we are great at using our imagination!
Goldfish was also an option since our letters this week
were G and M.
Speaking of "M", Mustache Monday was Marvelous!
MY, MY, MY. Who are these mystery mustached kids?
This week we also learned our first "sight word." THE
The Book Bag contained pictures of things and the word "the" on
every page.
At the end of the book was the poem,
"You can say the (thu)
Or you can say the (thee)
but it's always spelled
T H E.
We had a few rainy days this week so..... what better way to end the week of "oceans" than watching "Finding Nemo".
